Kenya
Bird shooting in Kenya gives you another opportunity to explore the wilderness on foot with our expert trackers and guides.
Mornings are early, with tea or coffee being brought to you with a wake-up call at 5:30 a.m. After a full breakfast, the shoot begins. Non-shooters can either join the hunters or enjoy game drives in the area.
Depending on the time of year and the activities of the birds, species available for hunting in Kenya include francolin, partridge, spur fowl, duck, goose, snipe, pigeon, dove, quail, sand grouse and guinea fowl.
As the dusk falls, a bush sun downer with a spectacular view of the wild will precede dinner made from the contents of the day's bag.
The bird shooting season is from July 1st to November 1st and from February 1st to April 1st.
Please note that by law there are a maximum of 8 hunters allowed per shooting block. Each shooting block is approximately 400 square miles. |
